Bachmann electronic Expands Senvion Access Solution with SCADA

The latest version of Bachmann's Wind Power SCADA System (WPS) combines its Senvion turbine access solution with many new features, providing detailed analysis and data management for both turbine and entire farm.

The perfect alternative to the now defunct Senvion Portal, to which all historical turbine data needed to be sent, the updated WPS solution provides flexible, expandable data logging directly on the controller. This prevents data loss following any park grid connection failure for up to two weeks per turbine. Databases are automatically updated as soon as the connection is restored.

Furthermore, customizable monitoring components such as widgets and dashboards deliver the most relevant and up-to-date data at a glance, reducing response times and improving asset management. Users can now create fully customizable reports, configurable in WPS, without external tools or additional costs. Individual templates can be defined on the dashboard, and reports can be created manually or scheduled, and printed only when necessary.

All existing functions from the original Senvion Access Solution have been retained. The plant’s main operating software remains as-is and does not require certification. The customer has full control over user access and passwords, making them completely independent. Implementation is simple and autonomous. Turbines can be updated within a few hours, avoiding downtime and loss of earnings and sales.

"The newest WPS now includes a direct connection to our Condition Monitoring System (CMS)," explains Janine Buchwald-Nolte, Bachmann product manager. "Turbine anomalies are transmitted directly from the CMS to the Weblog server, creating a ticket that is displayed directly in the WPS, containing historical data on affected components to provide a holistic overview. It also includes environmental data, which supports problem solving and saves time. This data correlation is also available in the CMS retrofit, for example on Senvion turbines, making it the ideal extension for holistic monitoring.
