WebLog Interface
WebLog Interface is an interface application to allow the post processing of data into a common Bachmann format, so that data from various types of CMS can be visualised through the same software solution.
WebLog Interface takes data from a variety of different sources and processes it, storing the final results in Bachmann‘s WebLog Server system. WebLog Server provides the data source for our advanced WebLog Expert® and WebLog Portal solutions.
Bachmann‘s condition monitoring hardware communicates directly with the WebLog Server to provide the source data, but some of our legacy µ-Sen systems require an intermediate step involving data storage and reprocessing. WebLog Interface facilitates this.
The WebLog Interface has been constructed such that other third-party systems‘ data could also be reprocessed in a similar fashion to send the data into a WebLog Server, with alarms and characteristic values calculated and processed in the same way as on Bachmann systems, insofar as is possible given the properties of the data provided.
Some up-front Engineering is necessary to ensure the data is of a suitable resolution, and to configure a data transfer process. This stage is specific to each wind farm and CMS type.
Bachmann Remote Monitoring or data hosting customers can request that a WebLog Interface instance is added to import data from other system types onto their WebLog Server. For Self-Hosting customers we can assist with the configuration of a WebLog Interface on their own infrastructure and offer support for ongoing administration. In both cases some up-front Engineering will be necessary for commissioning. Please speak to your Key Account Manager about your specific requirements.
Improved operational efficiency and simpler maintenance planning can then be achieved by having all your tickets and data within the same WebLog application, whatever hardware happens to be installed.
The WebLog Interface Software runs in the background. Every time a file is sent from a system to the storage area, the programme selects the correct post-processing programs to:
- Convert the raw downloaded data to RGZ format
- Apply order tracking
- Carry out FFT analysis and calculate CVs
- Re-package data ready for upload to WebLog Server Database
System configuration, including which scripts should run in response to particular file types, as well as security settings for file transfer, is achieved through a series of html pages generated by the WebLog Interface software.
System status and progress is also displayed via these html pages. Under normal operating conditions the system should not need any attention, other than when new turbines using this interface are brought into use for the first time.
The system is intended to be fault resilient and keep operating even if individual processes fail. Troubleshooting tools are included within the html pages.
