WebLog Server
Bachmann’s Condition Monitoring Data Analysis tools, WebLog Portal and WebLog Expert®, both use access the same WebLog Server and database. Customers who wish to take their data hosting in house need to create a WebLog Server of their own.
WebLog Server runs on a virtual environmentand uses MySQL and Resin. Customers must establish their own virtual environment (vCenter prefered, HyperV possible with additional support from Bachmann). Licences for MySQL Enterprise and Resin can be purchased via Bachmann, or directly.
With this environment in place, WebLog Server can run to enable the WebLog Portal and WebLog Expert® to operate. The key tasks carried out by WebLog Server are:
- Web Server for the WebLog Portal
- Data Server for WebLog Expert®
- E-mail to and from the ticket system
- CMS Configuration Control
- CMS Configuration Template Management
- Data file storage and management
- Data access via APIs
- Data upload and download management
- Post-processing tasks:
- Trend alarms
- Severity Classes
- Report Generation
Since the WebLog Ticket system uses E-mail, you will also need to provide one mailbox account with pop3 and smtp access for sending and receiving tickets.
Alternatively, you can leave all the IT side to us, and carry out your monitoring via the WebLog Portal, or WebLog Expert® using our data hosting services, saving you the effort and expense of creating your own infrastructure.
